VOLUNTEER

Physiotherapists, Special Education teachers and Speech Therapists sought!

We are looking for expressions of interest from experienced physiotherapists, special education teachers and speech therapists who are able to commit to a minimum of 6 months (preferably 12 months) unpaid volunteer work with our organisation.

Our preference is for mature volunteers who have had a number of years experience in their specialised field, including managing and developing staff.

Please note that all of our volunteers are required to give us a criminal record check in advance of their placement. As volunteers are required to undertake ongoing staff training, we are not taking short-term volunteers or those without a professional qualification in a relevant field.

We are in the process of building a Day Centre for children with disability. Please visit our Dien Ban Day Centre page for more information. The centre will provide access to physiotherapy and special education for approximately 60 local children.

Construction of the centre is estimated to be completed in December 2011. Once the centre is operational, we will require foreign physiotherapy and special education teachers to oversee the ongoing training, development and management of our local staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in an exciting grass-roots project that will make a real and significant difference.

If you can commit to a minimum of 6 months, and your skills and experience match our requirements, please contact Jackie using the form below, supplying the following required information:

  • a short description of yourself

  • your motivation for wishing to undertake voluntary work

  • your relevant skills and experiences

  • the dates you wish to start your placement

If your placement is successful, you will be required to provide copies of your relevant professional qualifications and appropriate child protection-related evidence.
