Welcome to the Kianh Foundation!
The Kianh Foundation is a small, grass-roots UK charity providing health and education services to children with disability in Quang Nam Province, Central Vietnam.
The Foundation was set up in 2001 to address the drastic need for improved care and development for disabled children living in Hoi An. It is the longest-established NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) operating full-time in Hoi An and has no religious, political or governmental affiliations..
What we do
Our work is primarily focused on providing:
Physiotherapy
Speech Therapy
Special Education
Access to Dental Care
Where we work
We work in Dien Ban District and Hoi An City.
Dien Ban Day Centre, Dien Ban District
We are building a Day Centre to provide much-needed special education and therapy services to children with disabilities. We completed construction of the Centre in December 2011 and hope to complete the fit-out work and begin operating our services in March 2012.
Dien Ban, located 15 minutes from Hoi An City, was heavily bombed during the war and has the highest proportion of disability in the Province. There are over 900 children with disability who do not have access to essential education and therapy services.
We urgently need your help to raise vital funds to support operating costs.

Hoi An Adult Centre, Hoi An City
The Hoi An Adult Shelter is a government-run home to over 100 people suffering from old age, dementia, homelessness, disability, or a mixture of these. We oversee and support a volunteer programme organised between the Adult Shelter administration and the German Government's Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) volunteer programme.
